La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas dio a conocer la lista de los nominados en las diferentes categorías a los premios Óscar 2022, anunciados por las leyendas de la industria Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace) y Tracee Ellis Ross (Personal Assistant).
La entrega de los premios en su edición 94ª será este 27 de marzo en el teatro Dolby de Los Ángeles. Por segundo año consecutivo no se revelará al presentador de la noche y se realizará con aforo limitado para evitar la propagación del Covid-19 y sus variantes.
Los favoritos para los premios Óscar 2022
Entre tanto, las favoritas por los expertos de la industria para llevarse la estatuilla a Mejor película son: Belfast, Dune, Licorice Pizza, El poder del perro y West Side Story. Por el lado de CODA, Rey Richard: una familia ganadora y ¡No miren arriba! son producciones que han sido nominadas por el gremio de actores, cuentan con un reparto de lujo y también se encuentran entre las favoritas del sindicato de productores, por lo tanto sí o sí deben entrar entre las mejores películas del año.
Por otro lado, la carrera por saber quién será el Mejor director está entre Ryūsuke Hamaguchi y Steven Spielberg, quienes con Drive my Car y West Side Story respectivamente son los grandes competidores de dicha categoría. En el caso del premio a Mejor actriz se puede dar la sorpresa con Kristen Stewart (Spencer), Nicole Kidman (Being the Ricardos) o la eterna nominada Olivia Colmen (The Lost Daughter).
En la categoría a Mejor actor hay una justa bastante equilibrada entre Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog), Andrew Garfield (tick, tick… BOOM!) y Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth). Entre tanto, sorprende la primera nominación de Will Smith a los premios Óscar con el largometraje King Richard y la cuarta del español Javier Bardem por Being the Ricardos.
Y la disputa para Mejor película animada está entre Encanto, la película de Disney y The Mitchells vs. The Machines, de Sony Pictures, seguidas de las discretas presentaciones de Luca, Flee y Raya and the last dragon.
